    Default Need to build supply

    Hello Ladies!
My DS is 8 weeks old now I am so excited that we have EBF so far. I
am not sure yet but it is possible I will have to go back to work in a a couple of months and I need to build up a supply of milk. I haven't been pumping a lot just when I was really full and needed to bc I was just trying to focus on getting a good latch and reallly just our breastfeeding relationship. So now I need to know what is the best way to get started storing milk? Do I pump after he is done eating or when is the best time? I have a Medela Pump in Style Adanced.
So if I could get some feedback I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Hi Momma, and congratulations on getting this far. If you will be able to pump while working you don't need to build a big supply, just enough for the first few days as you get used to your new routine and some extra in case of spilled milk.

Do you feed on both breasts? If not, you can pump the other breast while nursing (or right after).

You can also pump both breasts after nursing.

Is your little one sleeping a long stretch (either during the day or at night)? You can pump during that stretch.
Full time working Mom to 3, DH is my hero as a SAHD:
DS July'09, nursed for 12 weeks
    DD1 & DD2 April'11, tandem nursed for 16 months
