    Default Peanut Butter Poop

My lo will be 3 months old on the 24th. Several weeks back he started to only poop every few days. He even went 11 days without going once! His pediatrician said it's fine and I've heard of lots of babies doing this. What I forgot to ask and am curious about is the consistency and color of his poop now. It is darker yellow (almost orange) and thick like peanut butter. Has anyone else had this happen? Is it normal?

This happened with both of my babies, at different ages. With my first, it happened well after 6 months, but with my second it was before 6 months. I can't really remember for sure. My pediatrician said that things change as their digestive track matures.

Totally normal. Exact same thing happened with DD1, right down to the color and consistency. Only it didn't happen until around 6 months.

Happened to my second, but not my first. My first was a poop-every-time-he-ate, more runny consistency, even after he started solids. My second pooped much less frequently, and the consistency thickened considerably even before touching solids. Just different stuff in their GI tracts, I guess.
