Thread: Sign of Un-readiness?

Ok, I remember why I thought that unchanged foods in diaper signaled "unreadiness". In the WABF, it seems to imply that if the solids remain unchanged in the diaper, than the baby swallows the food, but does not use it effectively. Overanalyzing possibly?

Overanalyzing. Yes, if food comes through unchanged then baby probably didn't get much nutritional benefit from it, but until the baby is around a year old solids aren't necessary for nutrition. Breastmilk alone meets the baby's needs, and solids are primarily for learning about new tastes, textures, and motor skills. While that learning process happens, you're going to see lots of unchewed food in the diaper.

    What's WABF?
Coolest thing my big girl said recently: "How can you tell the world is moving when you are standing on it?"
Coolest thing my little girl sang recently: "I love dat one-two pupples!"
