Hi girls, just a quick question...does anyone know how to increase milk supply when baby is a VERY busy 9.5 month old? My pedi and lactation consultant said baby should still be nursing 8-10 times per day and taking in at bare minumum 24 ounces of BM a day. I know for a fact that my baby does not get this much BM in a day. My supply at work has totally tanked and I am only pumping 2 ounces every 2 hours. This tells me that baby is only getting 24 ounces max from me if he is with me all day long. When he is at the sitters, he reverse cycles and only eats around 4 ounces in an 8 hour time period. He still nurses every 2-3 hours around the clock plus gets solids. He has only gained 1.5lbs since he was 6 months old and is not growing in length as he should. He weighs 19.5lbs and is on the skinny side, when he used to be a chunk....this is because he WILL not hardly nurse during the day either. He is soooo super busy and doesn't want to take time to nurse. I think this is why my supply has dropped as well. He will not drink well from a bottle or sippy either, so I am at a loss. Is there a way to increase my supply this late in the game? I've tried fenugreek, more milk plus, domperidone, etc. and NOTHING has worked? I am sooo sad right now, as I really wanted to make it to a year. What are your thoughts??? Thanks so much!!!
