Default optional business trip and night nursing

I have an opportunity to attend a class that my workplace is offering out of town. I would need to be gone 2 nights. I have not left my LO overnight..he cosleeps and nurses quite a bit at night. He won't be consoled at night by DH, he only wants momma and the boob. I am so torn... do I go? Or should I opt out until he is night weaned and then take business trips? He nurses to sleep still and I don't think I have any milk in the freezer anymore... actually bottle weaned for the most part.

I am nervous as well being away from him like that... I can take a day off before or after if I want.. but still, 2 nights without him???!!

awwww. I know how you feel momma

Will you get another opportunity to go?
Is your work environment supportive and will allow you to go at another time?

hopefully your work situation will allow you to postpone this class. maybe they offer it once a year and by then you will be really ready for an overnight away.

luckily I was offered a seat in this class by my boss who opted out of going himself. He will totally understand. he has 2 little ones and admitted to not leaving them with anyone for 3 years. So I can totally not go... I am just not sure if turning it down is a good move right now...

But then again, since DH and I have decided to TTC another one, this isnt a good time to worry about my advancement until I am done nursing for good... wow, nice to actually "talk" this out... makes me think things through from other angles.

So.. not 100% not going, but leaning more towards not now...
