In an effort to help Sara take a bottle when I go back to work, she had her first (and probably last given the outcome) craniosacral therapy appt. yesterday. Now, she is refusing to nurse, and she still won't take a bottle. I guess that is one way to get her to eventually take a bottle because if nursing fails, she will have to take a bottle or get a feeding tube. Our nursing relationship has been fragile enough on its own. We didn't need this. So once again, our efforts to fix a problem has broken something else and created a bigger problem.

I'd call the doctor back and ask if that is a typical outcome and see what the suggestion is. It might be that it's a temporary worsening.

Definitely call the doctor back and ask what can be done! Until then try offering the breast frequently- especially when she is in a good mood. good luck!
