    Is it possible to have OALD and not have OS??

    Yes. OALD is much, much more likely with OS, but you can have a rapid letdown and normal supply. Often it isn't so much that the letdown is excessively fast in absolute terms, but rather that the baby is bothered by the letdown because she/he is still so little. Young babies can have trouble coping even with a normal milk flow.

    That answers my question then...sounds like I do have OS in addition to OALD. DD doesn't seem to be super bothered, but I always feel full and the let down reflex is almost painful and STRONG feeling! And if I miss even one feeding during the night, I am engorged nearly. So I am guessing I have OS too. Thank you!

    Oh yeah, that definitely sounds like you have some oversupply issues going on!

    Yep, sounds like it to me too. Block feeding. Hand expressions to help relieve some pressure for the off breast. It will even out in a few days. I like to think of my breasts as over achievers.
