I have been pumping since my son was 3 months old because I had to return to work. I only work 3 days a week. M W F. from 8-5. He is now 10 m0nths
I used to beable to leave 12-15 oz of milk with ds while I was gone.
Now though I am unalbe to do that. Though he did start only taking 2..5oz bottles aday. and For some reason I can manage to pump it if i really work at it. But it seems like I work harder for these 10 oz or more than I did for the 15/12??
I have noticed in the past several weeks that While I am at work I have dropped from a total of 6-8 oz " I was put on reglan for a few weeks and I could get up to 7-8 oz a day at work. But When I weaned off of it and before it I got about 6 oz down to like 4-5 oz?
I take 3 Breaks about 15 mins a peice and then I try and hand express afterwards.
I would pump at night before also, I still do some But not like I used to. I cant seem to be waken up by the alarm clock if I pump at say 11 and I want to wake up at 1am?? So some nights I really dont pump. Though DS does still wake a few times maybe 3?? to nurse, though he doesnt fully wake up. and I have gotten so that I side nurse him also. so Im not really waking up either, so the alarm doesnt get set to pump in an hour.
I just seem to tired to wake up? and I dont know what to do? I have only managed to get 2.5 oz from my first two pumping sessions today and I want to get so that I can have enough with out him having formula.
I cannot add another session in when I am at work. I wish I could.
I would also like to know if anyone has a schedual that might have helped them??? I do good with written out scheduals.
Maybe I am doing somting wrong? I know alot of people pump wean at 12 months.
How does baby handle this? he has himself gone down to 10 0z while I am away from 8-5. He doesnt really have anything else like water either?? but he does eat gerber crunchies and some crackers. Thank YOu
Also I rent a Lactina plus which is hospital grade and have been doing that for about 4 months now possibly longer?
