I am back to work and have some pumping questions.
1. I have read that a full pumping session is 10-15 minutes. I have 2-3 letdowns and produce 2-3 ounces in about 5-7 minutes. My breasts are soft after this time. Do I need to keep pumping the full 10-15 minutes?
2. After my first pumping session, I usually have the bottles in the fridge or in a cooler with an ice pack. For my second pumping session, can I pump directly into the same bottles (adding warm milk to cold milk) or do I need to pump into new bottles? Or should I not chill my first pumping session?
3. I have a cold right now, and my pediatrician said it's actually good to still breastfeed/pump while I'm sick so that the baby can get the antibodies (I think that's what she said!) It is also OK if I freeze some of the milk to use for later?
Thanks for your help!
