Default Does exercise decrease milk supply?

    Hi,

This is my 2.5 months after I gave birth. I am ready for some exercise such as aerobic or swimming. Currently I have very good milk supply and I do want this milk supply continued. Of couse, I will continue to nurse my baby or pump. Does anyone know if exercise decrese milk supply? If it does, I would wait I am done with breastfeeding before exercising. Any thoughts?

Most moms find that they can combine nursing and exercise without seeing a reduction in milk supply. Just be careful when choosing a sports bra, since tight or poorly fitting bras can contribute to reduced milk supply or plugged ducts. And of course, watch your baby- if you feel like exercise is making a dent in your supply, cut back for a while and nurse as much as possible.

I will try and see how it is. I will make sure I drink a lot of water.
