It's hard, I know. My daughter was born 7 weeks early and the only way to feed her was my breastmilk through a tube. So I pumped for the first 2 months of her life and it took 3 months to get breastfeeding right. It was so hard to put the pump down. I kept thinking I would lose my milk or not have any back up if I don't keep pumping. I was so happy when I finally cut that cord. I felt great to let my body - and baby - do it on their own. And it's amazing what our bodies can do. How it just knows what and how much our baby needs. They have their own special communication. Let them.
