My son is one year and a few weeks old. He is still nursing around 4-5x a day. At his 12 month checkup his growth had plateaued; he hadn't gained much weight at all since his 9 month checkup.
He is eating some solid foods, but he gags really easily and then will throw up. Sometimes if he coughs, he will also throw up. At his checkup the doc said if he wasn't able to eat more solid foods by 15 months we would probably have to see a speech/occupational therapist to work on things.
I've tried supplementing with some whole milk to get more protein in his diet (meat is one of the things that really makes him gag), but he refuses a sippy and bottle. I also tried some soy milk this morning just to see if I could find something that he liked the taste of to hopefully get him to drink from a cup. I don't know what to do??
Otherwise he's developmentally where he should be - very active, saying some words, interacts with others, etc.
