    Default Mixing breastmilk

I don't know if this is a silly question or what , but here it goes.

If I have two 2oz bottles of bm in the freezer (making 4oz in total), can I mix those 2 bottles in one to give LO?

I don't even know if that made sense?!

    Hi,

Yes you can mix breastmilk. Usually you would date the milk with the oldest date when combining it together.

With frozen bm, you need to use it with 24 hours after it has fully defrosted. I usually defrost in the fridge ( takes about a full day to fully defrost... But I usually freeze mine in 4 ounces). After the bm has been frozen and then defrosted, you can not re- freeze it.

Kellymom.com had lots of into on storage. I'm on my iPhone, otherwise I'd post a link.

No problem, as long as you follow proper milk storage and usage guidelines.

I see, thanks! Sadly I lost most of my stash today after accidentally leaving the freezer open overnight .

    it's a cute towel isn't it?
