    They may be assuming you are formula feeding if they recommended not feeding an hour before. With most medical procedures breast milk is considered a clear liquid and is allowed when formula or other foods wouldn't be. If I were you I'd call and clarify and make sure it's not allowed.

    Great point from Paige.

    And as others have said, I nursed my daughter in her ped's office on many occasion and he didn't bat an eye. I'm sure yours won't mind either - because again, as previously said, it's about that comfort and being close to Mama as much as it is eating for him at that point.
