He nursed today! For a long time too! I have offered to him a few times and he wasn't interested. It seems he wants to pick the times But yep. He crawled into my lap and nursed

Picking his own times sounds like true toddler behavior! Colleen, this just makes me happier than I can possibly put words to.

Erin did this with Haylee for sure. I remember. And I think JennieBean 5 had her oldest come back after being weaned as well. Or thinking she was weaned.

I will try and get a pic but I'm afraid I'd have to carry my camara in my bra because it's so unpredictable when he's going to do it and I don't want to ruin it by making him wait for me to go get it

He nursed again yesterday. He was hurt and came over to nurse

I was so torn when he weaned. Part of me was happy to not have the nipple pain but I knew he wasn't ready. He was just so frustrated when the milk dried up that I gave in and gave him a bottle. Then he became dependant on the bottle for sleeping when it should have been the breast. I didn't know what to do. He would cry and cry and cry when no milk came and he would thrash and kick out of anger/sadness. So I buckled and gave him the bottle. Hindsight is 20/20. I said to Brandon so many times that he just wasn't really ready to wean, that he weaned out of frustration instead of readiness. Anyhoo...I am beyond happy that I can give him this comfort again. Even if it's not frequent. I'm so glad that the last time isn't here just yet. I missed nursing my baby boy....and um...yeah now I'm crying....

I'm super glad you you both, I'm happy to let you have a natural weaning when you both are ready. I will admit that my personal annoyance with toddler nursing had me thinking you were crazy , but after more thought I totally get it
