    Default mammals nursing

I was looking through a baby encyclopedia of animals to M2 and she was fascinated by a picture of a horse nursing. She kept wanting me to show her all the baby animals nursing but I wasn't seeing any more pictures, so I googled and found this web page. Thought I'd share!

It's weird that humans drink a lot of cow milk then, no?

the instructor said that you cannot induce lactation on a horse like you can on a cow I dunno...either way...we'll stick to human milk

Awww that is so sweet. That would make a nice bed time book. I think I may just make one with animals nursing and then photos of us nursing, I think I even have a photo of me nursing as a baby.

    Thanks for sharing!

We were at a small local zoo yesterday, here's a picture I took of a rhesus mecaque nursing. DD1 said "Mommy! She's nursing!" to which I said "Yes Honey, just like Mommy does with Mallory." She nodded with a big smile on her face "Uh huh!!"
