    Default Pain when Pumping

I just started to have a deep pain in my right breast when I am pumping. It's kind of hard to describe. It's almost like a bruise that hurts with each suction. Do you think I have the setting up too high? If it's any lower, the milk doesn't come out as much and it just doesn't feel strong enough.

Does it hurt at all when not pumping? Like if you tried to massage it or something? Could be plugged duct.

Also, does turning the suction down make the pain go away/reduce?

It doesn't hurt at all when I am not pumping. I don't think it's a clogged duct - no painful lumps.

Turning down the suction does reduce the pain.

Could I have massaged it too hard when I was pumping??

I am so glad this is my last pump until Monday morning.

I feel you on that one. Don't you look forward to the weekends when all you have to do is nurse!

You may have just bruised it or something. As long as your output is okay, maybe turn the suction down a bit. Are you able to pump longer if you need to? Like 30 min at a lower suction versus 15 at your regular?
