Thanks! Me too. I feel better just thinking, well, there is probably a cause for it, and if there's a cause, there's hope for a cure.

Did this get sorted for you mama? I'm here looking for some ideas to help my sore nips. It feels very much like what you've described here, and I would swear that there was a bleb, only I can't see anything!

Hi everyone! I have been meaning to post on here to say ... well ... the nipple pain seems to have departed as mysteriously as it came? I did treat it with Lotramin for a long time, and took probiotics (but I never got around to treating Joe, except by feeding him a lot of yogurt, which is normal), and for a long time, the pain was still there, but I was able to keep it mild enough that I could nurse. Then I got lazy about treating, and was only applying the ointment every few days. But last week, I realized, it didn't hurt at all anymore. No difference between my breasts and my montgomery glands are back to their pale pink color. So, huh. Who knows? I think most likely it was a mild case of thrush that eventually, with the treatment, resolved itself??

    So strange!!!
