    And your discussion on the weaning party totally reminds me of when we were weaning MJ off her pacifier... I told her about the "bubbas fairy" coming and bringing her a present, and she was TOTALLY into it. And that first night of no pacifier went GREAT. But then the next several nights when the paci was gone, but no present was coming the next day, she was NOT happy.

    My journey nursing MJ started HERE, but we got through it and she breastfed 19.5 months, self-weaned on 5/17/09


    Mom to my current nursling, DS - "ME" born 10/2009 @ 10lbs 1oz, 22.25" He's 4 years old! And yup, he's still nursing.

    Just saw this Jenna. I don't have any advice unfortunately. But, when you mentioned about losing the closeness, I'm sure you will find other ways to stay close. What about books? Is there any way that reading and snuggling in bed could replace some sessions? Maybe you two could even pick them out together? Like I said, I don't have any experience, just brain storming here.

    well when Sam was first born we did some art projects together and maybe we can do more of that type stuff.
