Default NOT ENOUGH, NOW TOO MUCH? HELP...

So I really dont get this... I struggle to increase supply using fengrk, m.m. tea, blessed thistle and pumping (alot) b/c my LO wasnt gaining and NOW DS is throwing fits @ bresast b/c my LD is so abuntant! I dont know what to do? We try Laid back BF, LO is really fussy/gassy on poop days (every 2-3days) dr says thats ok b/c of the formula, still getting some F.supps (bout 8oz a day) b/c when I lowered the amount last week he didnt gain anything. Im so confused. Im able to pump 1-2oz AFTER he BF and 4-5oz if im pumping for a missed BF session (work) Is this something I just have to deal with? But if my supply is ok why no weight gain? Wets had decreased some 6-8xday,but not soaked liked before,(did KellyMom test w/adding 40cc water to dry diaper seemedbout like LOs) and poops per week arnt different(2-3) but are more seedy (but med green not yellow) Anyone know what mite be going on??? Im so frustrated

    thanx, jenn

So, it looks like from your signature that Raiden is 2 mos?
Frustrated? I'm confused--it sounds like you've turned around your bfing experience and now have an improved supply that's a good thing! So it used to be seeral concerns and now there are fewer concerns--good, no?

Do you want to wean off supplements, http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/decrease-formula.html
or just focus on weight gain? http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns/growth/index.html and

Are you and your pedi looking at WHO weight charts for bf babies?
    http://www.who.int/childgrowth/stand.../en/index.html

Have you been in touch with a local LLL Leader, or an IBCLC?

Is your LO making the recommended nappy count, looking alert and happy, and basically you wouldn't otherwise fret except for what the scale says?

Is it the same scale, with LO in a nappy weighed before putting it on, and after a full feed around the same time of day? Those factors can account for a lot of variation in weight .

I had a similar situation, I didn't have enough milk/milk came in late and now I have an oversupply. They had me stop pumping after he eats. I pump the foremilk off before he eats. Most of this milk I throw away, but I might start saving it to add to cereal and solids when we get ready for that or add it to formula to feed him when I am not around. I am going to try the blockfeeding next. Our weight gain is slow. It sounds good to not worry about the scale, but that is what the dr's worry about and they have a huge influence.
    Good luck! This is tough.
