Thread: ouch!

    Default ouch!

For the last few days breastfeeding has been more and more painful to the point where I want to cry just thinking about it. My nipples are sore even when she's not nursing. I'm 4DPO so I'd think it's too soon for any pregnancy related soreness and we're not trying, using FAM. The pain is equal on both sides. Any ideas?

Breast pain in a mom who has had a long spell of trouble-free nursing is often the result of thrush. http://www.kellymom.com/bf/concerns/...resources.html

are your nipple cracked or bleeding?

There are no cracks, everything looks normal except for that my loosest bra is too small now. It's like PMS breast tenderness but way way worse.

My boobs felt like they were full of broken glass almost as soon as I got pregnant.

However, right before my period I'm emotionally/mentally so not interested in nursing, and do have some sensitivity. So I don't think it's definitely a pregnancy sign, though I would say that's a possibility.

The whole breasts are sore and I think the pain is actually oversensitivity. Add that to the extreme tiredness, hunger and sense of smell.....I'm so not ready for another baby yet.

    Goodness, Mama, I don't know.

Although . . . with your bras being too tight you may be getting a bit of a mastitis issue.
