    I agree with "Mummy." At one day old I as being oressured to feed, feed, feed and all my LO wanted to do is sleep! Thank goodness there is this LLL board!

    As a postpartum nurse, I try to reassure parents (as well as some collogues) that a brand new baby can only hold about 5-7 ml in their little tummies. So often new parents have many many many people telling them diff things and I can see the frustration in their faces. I know they just want what is best for their LO's. The LC at my hospital recently gave us handouts with pictures of the size of LO's tummies and now I use that to show my parents and remind my collogues

    Somewhat related, I can't get over the size of the bottles of formula at DD's daycare. Do these babies really drink 8-9 ounces of formula? (DD is the only breastfed baby)
