Default Does having a cold/flu lower production?

    Hi all,

I did search through some of these posts to find an answer, but I'm still curious if it's normal for a terrible cold/flu-like conditions (also accompanied by fatigue and some dehydration...) to affect my milk supply.

I'm a SAHM to my dd who's almost 7 months, and we just started solids a few weeks ago. I tried to pump some EBM today for her meals, and hardly anything came out. (My bra is also sagging due to less-than-full breasts...!)

Thankfully, my dh is here to help me get some rest. Is there anything I can do to get my supply back up, or is this just how it is until this nasty cold goes away?

    Any info is greatly appreciated!

I do not know why, but it happened to me last week.
I just nursed more often and kept drinking, my milk came back after three days.

A big hug, I hope you will feel better soon.

are you taking anything for the cold?
some over the counter meds can supress your milk supply.
can you take the baby to bed and add a few feeds?
that will help supply and demand
