Default Will exercise lower milk supply?

I'm very skinny, and I'm skinnier (does this word exist?) than I was before my pregnancy. And that is terrible in a country were everybody wants curves hehe, but that's not the point.

I didn't do any exercise pre pregnancy, but right now I feel I need some action, other than being in the office or at home. I looove my little princess more than anything and I don't know if this is selfish but sometimes I need some time for myself, even if it's 30 minutes.

Ok back to the topic, I want to jog...Someone told me that exercising too much could lower milk supply, and more if I have never exercised before, is this true? I can only pump 3 oz more or less per session, and I can't afford to lose supply.

Exercise should not impact your milk supply unless you're exercising to the point where you're losing too much weight or you're wearing a tight-fitting bra while working out. You want to avoid underwire bras and also those that hold your breasts in place using compression. Honestly, I think the reason a lot of women feel that exercise impacts supply is because they wear awful bras during their workouts!

If you're already skinny, how about starting with a 1/2 hour walk instead of a run? You can walk really, really fast without needing an exercise bra!

I have never had a problem and I run.. I just make sure I never wore a tight fitting sports bra.. sometimes I would wear a nursing bra and then a low impact sport bra over.. It really helped with the jiggle...

At the risk of sounding overly type-A, you might want to make sure you're making up the calories burned by exercise by adding additional snacks during the day. I noticed a dip in my supply when I started exercising, but I discovered that it rebounded when I ate more than I did pre-exercise.
