My daughter is 13 months old, and nursing 5-7 times a day (including once or twice a night), and she eats solids pretty well as well. I do want to gently start the weaning process, though I'm in no hurry. But I'm about to start a very demanding period at work, and it would be great if I could not nurse/pump during the day at least.
So my question is, would it be okay at this age--nutritionally and otherwise--to replace her day time feeds with cows milk? If so, how should I do it?
Also, if we dropped down to only 2-3 feedings per day, would we be able to sustain this for a while or would my supply disappear fairly soon? Would I need to pump?
Thanks for any help!
