  1. Re: Thoughts on weaning my 15 month old

Occasionally she'll fall for the distraction, like a snack, or to go outside. We've been going to the park more because I'm more actively trying to tire her out so she'll nap with less nursing. But...
  2. Thoughts on weaning my 15 month old

I *loved* nursing DD. I thought I'd nurse her until she gave it up. We ddin't start solids until 6 months, and even at a year, she would take a bite every now and then, but really wasn't...

    Re: Weight loss and BF

I gained 25 pounds during pregnancy, and am now 25 pounds under pp weight, so I've lost 50 since birth while EBF. It is different for everyone, two of my friends who have babies just a few months...
  4. Re: motion sickness and flying while nursing

I've tried Sea-Bands for bus rides, which get to me, but not as bad as a plane ride. I'm thinking I'll have to use those and maybe ginger capsules. Just looking for other options though. :)
  5. Re: Sleeping through night = engorgement, now what?

Just wanted to :hug since we've been dealing with this for a couple months now too. DD started sleeping through the night at 10 weeks, and I didn't pump because I wanted everything to even itself...
  6. Re: Please please help with mastitis/clogged duct issues!!

I've tried the lecithin and it worked great, I wasn't sure on the dosage so I just took one capsule a day. The stubborn clog was gone in two days (it was really stubborn).
  7. motion sickness and flying while nursing

Can anyone give any recommendations for motion sickness remedies while nursing? DD will be 5 months old and exclusively breastfed when we fly for 12 hours. I get terrible motion sickness and never...

    Re: Question for the cosleepers

Dd is 4 months old, and hubby knows its better for she and I. He's scared something will happen in bed though (he's a heavy sleeper) and so he says he doesn't sleep well. But honestly, in the 3...

    Question for the cosleepers

I know this isn't a sleep forum, but there are so many cosleeping families here, I just have to ask...what does daddy think of it? Does he have a preference, does he let the baby in because your mom...

    gentian violet ?'s

I was told to put a little on my nipples and in DD's mouth a few times a day. Now she's got a bright purple mouth and chin, and I've got bright purple nipples...is this right?! :lol
  13. Re: Mastitis, antibiotics, thrush, and pumping

Baby is 15 weeks old and has been exclusively breastfed at the breast. I have pumped reserves in case of an emergency but she's only had a bottle once "because Grandma had to feed her" and she did...
  14. Mastitis, antibiotics, thrush, and pumping

I've got Mastitis and went to the doctor for some antibiotics today. I'm trying my best to prevent thrush and was wondering if it's best to dump what I'm pumping now that I'm on the meds? I know...

Re: two weeks no weight gain

You guys were right...the test weighing wasn't a successful feed. She got in about a teaspoon worth of milk. But, on the plus side, she gained an ounce since yesterday! We go back on Thursday for...

Re: two weeks no weight gain

When not supplementing her feeding is very regular, she will wake herself every 2.5-3 hours, and nurse for about an hour or so (probably about half an hour of active nursing, she likes to nap at the...
