    Re: BreastFeeding While Laying Down?

:ita :ita Yes & yes. Side lying is actually a great way to nurse, especially when babies are young. If you can relax enough while doing it, you BOTH can get some rest.

    About the burping issue,...
  2. Re: Anyone else nurse their LO in this position?

Yep, My 13mo DD does that too! It's really cute.
  3. Re: Suggestions, flying with a 8 month old

GREAT that you're going with a friend. It's nice to feel like you're not alone in it.

I don't have any advice for you, as I've never flown before myself. I'm actually planning a trip to Florida...

    Re: Leaking

I'd be careful with those so early in the game, though. I've heard many many things about them decreasing milk supply, and at 10 days postpartum you don't need ANYTHING that's going to affect your...

    Re: Leaking

    :ita:ita

I've tried them all, every brand that every store around here carries, and Lansinoh is by far the best.
  6. Re: Do I have to wean baby because he has to go to daycare?

I agree with PP. And I also think that if a DCP was trying to tell me I should wean before enterting my child into the program, I wouldn't be entering my child into their program.

  7. Re: The First Years Breastflow Bottles

I bought those when DD was little. I only used them a couple of times, but I thought they were really neat. It's cool how they work almost just like a boob, too. Good luck with them, let us know how...

Re: How to help a new mommy?

    :cry:cry:cry

    I am so sad.

I called her yesterday, after speaking with our local LLL Leader, to give her her phone number. Rachel, my cousin, interrupted me and told me she had to call me back....

Re: How to help a new mommy?

Thank you for the links. I wish I had a printer!! I'm going to have to make my way to a library to get that info to her.

We did manage to get everyone out of the room while she was giving it a...

How to help a new mommy?

My cousin just had a baby girl last night. She was induced and ended up with an emergency c-section almost 20 hours later. Baby weighs 7lbs, and seems to be doing well.

    Problem is, is that my...

    Re: Discouraged with nursing already

This is great, great advice! I wish I had known at the time about the milk reduction/slow transfer thing. That issue definatly set us back a bit. Also, I forgot to mention in my previous post - DON'T...

    Re: Discouraged with nursing already

I know that feeling so well! I used nipple shields for the first.. oh I'd say about three to four months. It definatly made me feel that way, too, especially if I were ever to have to do it in...

Thank you all, so so much for everything! Your kindness means a lot, and you've all had wonderful ideas!

I had a feeling that this thread was in the wrong section, but I looked and looked, and...

    Inexperienced in the kitchen..

This is pathetic, but, I am 24 and barely know how to cook. At all. My mom almost never cooked while I was growing up, and as a result I am pretty much used to fast food, and processed things from a...

Also - you guys probably know this already, but be careful in favoring one side over the other. I did this recently because for some reason, my left breast was just always very uncomfortable, and I...

Re: Okay, we have a teeth problem...

I went through this with my DD during her first couple of teeth. This is what I did:

Paying very close attention, you can tell the moment she really starts to fall asleep. There's a bit of a break...
  18. Re: My baby is weird- she doesnt ask to feed at all

My LO nursed forever at a time when she was around that age. I swear sometimes it was a good 45 minutes to an hour! People used to make fun of me, saying things about being a human pacifier, but hey,...

    Nursing strike?

DD won't nurse today. She just won't. Not from the second I got up, until now. She'll play with it and laugh at it. Sometimes she refuses, even cries at me when I attempt to let her have some boobie....

My daughter just turned a year!

So, my DD had her first birthday on the 9th of this month and I'm STILL getting teary-eyed just thinking about it! :happytears

I can't believe we've made it this far. When I was pregnant, I said...
