    Re: Worried about starting solids

Great replies so this will be short. Don't feel pressure internally or externally to introduce solids. Your child will have a life time of our genetically, heavily pesticided, constipating, less...

Re: Help!!! -We're on day 5 of no poop!

    Hi Barb,

Can you tell me more about Miralax? Is this prescription? What is it actually? And most importantly, what do you add to the diet to keep stools soft? Currently I am using baked goods...

Re: Help!!! -We're on day 5 of no poop!

    Thanks Kate,

AFter 2 weeks I used the BAbyLax liquid suppository. It took an hour of straining and she produced 3 1/2, quarter sized, light colored circle. This was the first they were circles...

    Re: Stressed and Unsure

Dr. Sears has good info on childhood constipation. Try to avoid the bananas, rice, applesauce and toast.... BRAT diet as these are intended to bind. Rice is not a good first food.

    I'm sorry you...

Re: Help!!! -We're on day 5 of no poop!

    Glad you found us Kate.

I need more info. That resource you attached is too generic. Like many articles I find everything addresses younger babies, not my 26 month old. Any other ideas?

    It...

NO to the milk of magnesia. I'm happy for your poopy gift. Wish I could get one too. I was unsuccessful with the suppository today, maybe tomorrow. At least you now know, she can go 5 days...

Re: Help!!! -We're on day 5 of no poop!

Get that product I previously mentioned.... Babylax by Fleet. It is a LIQUID suppository and will produce a poo within a minute. Most drug stores don't seem to carry it so just order on line...

    Re: Poop question

Just a little more.... I try the prunes, peaches, pears, etc. and get the same results as you -- nothing.

My ped told me to put mineral oil in her OJ. At the time, my dd didn't drink OJ...

Can the moderator copy this thread to the Single Parenting section? I believe there is some good info for single mothers, bfing law, and visitation rights.

    Thank you.

    The scoop on poop

Ever since solids entered my dd's body, there's been trouble in the pants. Specifically with poo. That first solid batch to come out hurt my dd and now she dreads moving her bowels. Which...

    Re: refuses solids

My breastfed dd sampled some solids around 8 months, then quit then all together around 10 months, only to start up again around 15 months. I worried needlessly. Breastmilk is the best nutrition.

Thanks for all the input. It's not a good night for me and most of the replies mention needing help from dad to get any relief. This isn't an option, which makes this night a total wash. My...

Re: 2 years still waking alot

    To LLLCarol,

I was a bit shaken to read your reply. I thought LLL philosophy was more in line with... the child will outgrow the need, not I may have created a sleep association with nursing.

Re: sepration anxiety in 21 month old.

Could your sitters come to your present home? The one that is familiar to your child. No doubt your baby knows about the move -- maybe not the details but the emotion of it all. If you can forgo 1...

    2 years still waking alot

Just wondering... anyone out there with a 2 year old, cosleeper who still wakes every couple of hours at night?
  21. Re: Do you have an age set in your mind you wont nurse past?

I never thought about it. My dd is 22 months old and still nurses for most of her nutrition. Solids actually mess her up inside... bowels mostly. Around 1 year she had an allergic reaction to food...

    Hi Dianna,

Ditto to all the others thoughts.... nursing is not easy, especially in the beginning. I never got a 3 hour stretch of sleep, that's actually pretty good. REST whenever you can. And...

Re: 21 months and mostly nurses

    Another question....

My dd is only moving bowels once a week. She is 21 months. She struggles when she does go and I feel like a midwife coaching her to let loose. The poos are soft. My mother...
