  1. Re: 4 mo nursing and sleep changes

Yep, totally normal. In fact, around 4 months old with both of my babies, I've noticed their sleep always changed. They would wake up more frequently. I guess at that age is when babies start...

    Re: Comfort Sucking

Not a bad habit at all. I say enjoy it while they're still little. I nursed my first to sleep all the time until he weaned at 22 months. He sleeps just fine without nursing :)

Re: 4 week old sleeping 6.5 hours

As long as she's nursing at least 8-12 times in a 24 period, gaining weight and has enough wet and poopy diapers, I'd say let her sleep and enjoy it while it lasts. :)
  4. Re: BF Autistic/Language Disordered 24m old- advice wanted

My first son (who is 4 yrs old) is speech delayed and has ASD as well. Is he receiving any speech or OT services right now?

    Re: Night Nursing

:hug BTDT Both of my sons were/are not great sleepers either. Co-sleeping saved my sanity with my first and I've been co-sleeping with my 2nd from the beginning.

Honestly, I would just nurse him...

    Re: Feeding pattern

Sounds fine to me. As long as you're feeding on demand and he's still wetting and pooping enough diapers, I wouldn't worry. :)

    Re: annoyed!

:ita Putting rice cereal in a bottle is a choking hazard. Plus, rice cereal is nothing but starch and sugar, so there's no nutritional value.

    Re: Low Milk Supply

:ita Excellent advice from the pps. Also want to note that pumping output does NOT equal your milk supply! Babies are more efficient at getting the milk out than even the best pump. Like pp said,...
  19. Re: Sleep questions - ftm of 2mo old

Sounds like you're doing fine! Both of my babies fight sleep (my almost 3 yrd old and 5 month old). I used to co-sleep with DS1 and am currently co-sleeping with DS2. I just do the side lying nursing...

    Re: milk

Why did you need to pump and dump your breastmilk?

That's not correct advice from the dr. about the 10 min. I would not limit the amount of time your LO nurses on each breast. I would just...

Re: Very Low Milk Supply =(

:ita Engorgement, feeling of fullness and leaking are not good indicators of whether you have low milk supply or not. Most likely, your supply has been established and is making just enough for your...
  22. Re: Not sleeping through the night anymore - OK to give rice cereal?

:ita:ita Rice cereal is just empty calories anyways not to mention a choking hazard when put in a bottle.

5-6 hour sleep stretch is considered STTN. I would love it if my 5 month old slept that...
  23. Re: BFing distrupting bowel movements?

Yep, it's totally normal for older ebf babies to not poo everyday. Like pp said, just watch out when the poo does come! :D
