    Re: The cereal dilemma

Three months is quite young for any type of solid (cereal included). It can actually constipate your LO and/or upset his delicate digestive tract.

As for your DH saying something every day, I...

Re: Constant BFing at 14 months

My DS was the same way at the same age. He'll eventually ease up. We used Dr. Jay Gordon's night weaning method, and then we eventually moved him to to his own room. It seemed to be easier to keep...
  3. Re: Breastfeeding 1yo while pregnant/OBGYN Rec in San Diego

While I'm not in San Diego, my OB never discouraged or forbade me from nursing my son while pg (and I live in an area with BF is nearly unheard of). Maybe it can be a don't ask, don't tell...

    Re: sleep ideas

Here's a link. DS was probably about 20 months, but that's when we were ready. I'm sure that you can use this method with a younger baby. :gvibes

    Re: sleep ideas

We used Dr. Jay Gordon's night weaning method, and it worked really well for us. At first, I would still nurse him at naps, but we eventually stopped that too.

    Re: Setting Boundaries...

I agree with pp. We went through that phase as well, but it seems like it was worse when we started night weaning. Maybe she's going to drop a session and just wants to make sure the milk isn't...
  7. Re: Why do I not find the Boppy helpful for nursing? Am I missing something?

I never found it helpful either. :shrug I always ended up using pillows to prop up on.

    Re: Feeling Guilty.....

Maybe night weaning could ease some of the frustration in your nursing relationship. We used Dr. Jay Gordon's method when DS was about 21 mo. It really helped my sanity and my sleep. Also, it's ok...
  9. Re: Great moments of nursing a toddler...

DS unlatched the other day to tell me "I the baby" and then happily went back to nursing. :love
  10. Re: Feeling letdowns all of the sudden...

Holy smokes! Now that you mention it, DS and I both got thrush soon after all the new letdowns started. I guess because of the warm moist environment provided by the letdowns. Hey, maybe you could...
  11. Re: Feeling letdowns all of the sudden...

I remember that when my DS was around the same age as yours (or maybe a little older), I also had letdowns and leakage. I don't know why it started, but it only lasted a few weeks. I had to start...

Re: Feeling sad about starting solids

Oh mama! :hug Nursing doesn't have to be over soon. I felt the same way as you when my son started solids, but you know what, he loves the boobs! He only dabbled in solids up until recently (he's...

    Re: menstruation question

I got my first pp period at about 20 months. It's still not regular. :gvibes
  15. Re: My 17-month old using my breast as a pacifier

:ita I've also found that when I get tired of being a paci for DS, I tell him that I'm going to count to five and then we're going to be done with the ninny for a while. The first time, I unlatched...

    Re: Nighttime Trials

:hug What you describe sounds pretty normal for that age. Probably the teeth and the vacation have disrupted her sleep pattern, and she's seeking comfort. Once the teeth come in, she should calm...

    Re: Biting...HELP!!!

My little man did the same thing at the same age. He outgrew it, although not as quickly as I would have liked :eye. Within a month, he stopped biting, since some new teeth came in.

    Re: still leaking

DS is 21 mo, and I still leak but not to the point of still needing pads (unless we're away from each other for a few hours). You're not alone.
  21. Re: Q. about Gordon sleep method/naptime

We just started night weaning with the Gordon method a little over a week ago. It's been going surprisingly well. DS is 21 months. The first night was not too fun, as DS wanted to nurse and kept...

    Re: Exercise = DS Vomit?

Thanks, mamas. I still don't know what caused the vomit, but I have a strong suspicion that the granola may have had something to do with it, as he has not vomited since Sunday (and hasn't had any...

    Exercise = DS Vomit?

Ok, DS is 20 mo and still going strong with bf. I just started working out this week, since I need to lose a little weight so that my clothes fit better. He's thrown up a bunch this week--as in he...
