    Tattoos while breastfeeding?

I'm getting mixed info about getting a tattoo while breastfeeding.

Has anyone here done it? Or know if it's any less safe than getting tattooed while not breastfeeding?

    Re: Building a freezer stash

And yes, I'll be pumping several times a day at work. I wish I didn't have to and I could just bring her to work with me, but that's not feasible. Alas.

    Re: Building a freezer stash

I hate pumping, but it's a necessary evil. I want to try and have enough frozen now I case the hubby and I actually go out for dinner or something.

    Building a freezer stash

My daughter is 3 weeks old and nursing every 3-4 hrs like a champ. I go back to work in 2 months and want to build a freezer stash. I nursed her this morning and them pumped a little over an hour...

    Nursing bras

Are any of you out there wearing nursing bras with underwire? I'm currently not, but I'm considering trying one for more support. My LC told me when I started BFing not to wear them as they could...

Re: Left nipple raw and cracked

No thrush here. I have no choice but to pump (I wish I didn't have to as I loathe pumping), I work full time and have no freezer stash of BM for my son. I pump each day (3x a day) for the next day....

Any rememdies for a cracked and raw nipple? I know it's from my pump and not the baby, but it's KILLING me. I've been using lanolin, but I'm wondering if there's something else I could be using? ...

    Vitamins?

So, I'm finally coming to the end of my prescription supply of prenatal vitamins. What vitamin(s) do you take? Are there any that are especially good for breastfeeding mothers?

How do you boost your supply?

So I've noticed a bit of a drop in my supply. I'm doing my best not to freak out about it (I've got PPD and my early-on difficulties with supply and BFing in general made it so much worse when I...
  12. Re: How long before your period comes back?

I put LO down after his final "Boob Meal" - as DH likes to call it - anywhere between 8:30 and 9:30 pm and he will sleep straight through to 7 am. The first week he started doing this I woke up...
  13. How long before your period comes back?

I've been BFing my son since birth and he's now almost 5 mos old. I'm wondering though, when does one's period return? He sleeps through the night and has been for the last 2 months or so. I know...

Re: Is this considered low supply?

Thank you, Jbean! That makes me feel SOOOO much better! When I was "talking" to those other moms that were pumping 8-10 oz, I started to feel really inadequate, almost as if there were something...

    Is this considered low supply?

My son is now 4 1/2 months old and growing just as he should be and seems totally satisfied with his breastmilk consumption. I, on the other hand, worry that I don't produce enough.

    I realize...
  17. Re: Baby keeps falling asleep while nursing

Baby is 2 weeks old today. He latches on and suckles for maybe 3 minutes on one breast and then promptly passes out. Nothing I do can get him to wake up and feed like he should. I'm getting...
  18. Re: Baby keeps falling asleep while nursing

I've done all those things to try to keep him awake and interested in feeding to no avail. Ideally, I'd like to get rid of the formula (the pumping will unfortunately be a necessity as I'll be going...
  19. Re: Baby keeps falling asleep while nursing

The breasts just don't seem to satisfy him as much as formula does. Once he falls asleep, I get up to put him down and he'll sometimes wake up again looking for the breast again, but the second I...
  20. Baby keeps falling asleep while nursing

I'm having a really difficult time BFing my newborn son. When he first latches on he's vigorous with his suckling, but after about 2 minutes he falls asleep only suckling every now and then if...
