  1. Re: Weak Suck, pumping and bottle feeding :(

Wow...I second the ideas to ignore your doctor! I would look for a new one immediately. Especially if he is that tired when feeding, I would worry that he needs to be fed more or isn't getting the...

    Re: Bottle to breast problems

I also have dealt with the issue of getting baby from bottle to breast...and a smart user on here told me to try to give the bottle before the breast at each feeding, which helped a lot. Try to relax...

    Re: Please help... new mom

I would look deeper into why you need formula. As long as baby is gaining, being hungry at the breast is not a sign baby needs supplementation. Take some fenugreek, make sure you are getting plenty...
  4. Re: Please help - I want my baby to nurse from my breast

It sounds like you are doing great! We are in the same boat. My son is now almost 11 weeks old and he is not completely on the breast, but he is doing better and better. So my answer is...3 days is...
  5. Re: I think my pediatrician is wrong - what do you think?

My two cents is trust your insticts-and get a new doctor!! Take her off the formula, it will only make matters worse. Try to increase your supply with lots of water and supplements. The point the...
  6. Re: Transition off of formula supplementing HELP PLEASE

We have had a similar journey. Is the baby latching well or is the amount the only issue?

What supplements are you taking? If you're not taking it, try Fenugreek. Gets lots of sleep, water and...

    Re: Pump Tubing Care?

He is usually in my arms, or if he's hungry, he will be in a bouncy chair so I can feed him (we are also having nursing issues). I think I need to invest in one of those bustiers.

    Re: Pump Tubing Care?

Yes, mine grew mold so I got new ones...no way to clean those? They are pretty pricey. Sometimes I have to attend to baby while pumping since my husband works a lot, so I have to lean forward.

Re: I feel like my baby hates me

I was in the same boat as you. My baby was given bottled formula for about 36 hours before my milk came in while he had jaundice. After that, he was so frustrated at the breast he would not take it....
  16. Re: Looking for creative ideas for a struggling baby...8 wee

Rachel- first, our babies were born the same day (naturally). What have you tried to get him off?
  17. Re: Looking for creative ideas for a struggling baby...8 wee

Yes, when I pump, I pump about 3 oz from each breast every 2-3 hours, sometimes up to 5 oz each breast. I don't offer the breast enough and have never tried to offer it AFTER a bottle feeding. I will...

I have heard a lot of people talk about milk quality. Since my baby is struggling with nursing, I pump and feed him solely breastmilk. My question is does pumping more often increase the fat...
