    Can EBF babes get constipated?

If yes, what would be the cause? My diet? What else would cause a sudden decrease in pooies? From 4+ a day to 1? I would even say DD (8 weeks) is nursing more frequently.

    I don't want to jump...

    Would rather sleep than eat

Ok so my 2 week old daughter is a fabulous sleeper. Like 4 or 5 hours at a time. She will NOT nurse while asleep. Her feeding has not slipped into a pattern; sometimes she will nurse on one side...

Re: Questions I feel stupid asking

She will be 2 weeks tomorrow.

The one side was ok overnight & no green poop today as of now. She sleeps for 3.5 or 4 hours at a time, and that trend continued.

    Questions I feel stupid asking

My sweet newborn will nurse like a champ on one side and then will fall into the deepest sleep EVER about a quarter of the way into the 2nd boob leaving me still engorged and ready to express enough...

    Re: Pumping in hospital?

I'm really glad I just checked these forums!!! I'm expecting our second child in a few weeks and I'd just seen - as in earlier this evening - a breast pump listed among the things to take to the...

    Just wanted to share

I was initially skeptical of how well breastfeeding would work for me and my son. There were several moments where I thought, "This is it, it's over; there is no way we can keep it going now..." ...

    Re: Fussy at the breast

Try burping between sides, or maybe a different burping technique? My DS did that too, but we figured it was colic - apparantly it was just a stage? It was SO FRUSTRATING. I can't tell you how...

    Re: prenatals??

My OB wants BF moms to continue taking the prenatals for 3 months AFTER you finish BFing...I figured I'd go get the less pricey ones OTC? I wound up having an insane allergic reaction to them. ...
  15. Re: distractable baby part II!!! (long post)

Mine gets distracted by lights - on the baby monitor, the blinking BlackBerry :sigh:

It's worse at my MIL's house. She watched him for a few hours until DH gets off work. I wait till I get...

Re: Vitamins?? [ 6 month check up ]

Our pediatrician was very supportive of my commitment to breastfeeding, but he wanted me to give my son an iron supplement because he said that there is a link to iron and IQ. He said that while...

We've pretty much used Tylenol exclusively...The teething rings seem to piss him off because it makes the sides of his mouth cold too; do they make a paci-type thing with a gel in it that can be put...

    Horn question

How do I know how big of a horn I need? I bought a Medela last week, and I'm fairly certain the one that came with the pump is too small.

    Re: Pump suggestions?

Well the first one was labeled for occasional use (I used it 3 times a day) I had heard all about how breastfeeding DIDNT work for so and so, so I was half covinced it wouldn't work for us...

    Pump suggestions?

OK I know all pumps are different and work differently for all women, but which pumps seem to be the most reliable? I've gone through 2 already. An Evenflo & a NUK. The NUK didn't last a good week...

I'm trying to keep the faith; I feel like...
