    Re: Pump Models

Ameda also makes a Pump kit that is BPA free. I don't like it because it seems the breastsheild doesn't get a good fit.

Re: Breast Pump Recs - Medela Freestlye?

I use Ameda too..I have a Purely Yours and an Elite. I love Ameda pumps. Even the Elite (a true hospital grade pump) is only 6lbs. You can barely hear it.
As far as Medela, I do think they are good...

Re: What's a female Soldier to do?

    Ok so I'm AD Army...
NO there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for Army soldiers who breastfeed, no reg's, no support-nada, niente. In fact, the LC's on post are usually quick to by pass female soldiers...

    Re: Question For Working Moms

I cannot believe the local LLL doesn't have their meetings in the evenings...

That being said, if I were your client, and you needed that much time off, I'd be forced to go else where. I get the...

Re: ???Storing Milk from my Playtex Pump

I stored successfully in the drop-in's but, like you I was continually running out of caps. I ended up going to Medela bags...which wasn't a good idea at all since those were the ones that broke. I...

Re: Which double pump to buy?

I couldn't recommend the Medela because I hated it. With a passion hated it. I loved the Ameda PY and used that sucessfully for about a year.

Yes, they are a bit expensive, but for my (unborn) child.....price is second to safety. Dh says we are buying some of the glass, and some of the plastic to try...

    Re: Glass Bottle Storage Questions

That's funny, all of the materials I've read state that glass doesn't destroy any of the properties of human milk, neither do bags, unlike clear plastics.

Re: Which nipples for glass bottles?

If you find glass bottles that accomidate a wide nipple..let me know. Otherwise, the only nipple that will fit is a standard nipple. I gave DD a standard sized nipple a couple of times, I never saw...

    Re: working moms successful BF?

I have never pumped 8 times a day. EVER. However, as has been mentioned, if smokers could take 8 smoke breaks, I *might* consider it, if I was desperate. But really you don't need to.

Re: Deployed Sailor Mom needs advice

I joined these forums to tell you...you aren't alone. No the Command cannot tell you to stop lactation. I'm Army, and if I were told that, I'd contact IG (Inspector General) for clarification....
