Re: poop- how long is too long?

Yeahx I hadn't seen the weight at the ent office. So that's reassuring. I don't know why she was so concerned now.

Re: poop- how long is too long?

Oh by the way, the juice was suggested by the ped and advice nurse.

His poop yesterday was normal sized. I expected a poopsplosion!

Re: poop- how long is too long?

Sorry- he has generally been around 50th percentile. He's now 40th. He hasn't been tested for any of those things because his dr isn't concerned.

He gained really well up till about six months,...

Re: poop- how long is too long?

He nurses around the clock. Up to five times at night and at least every hour unless we are out during the day. I just nursed him 45 minutes ago and he's nursing again now. A lot of it seems to be...

Re: poop- how long is too long?

He's losing slowly. At 9 months he had lost about half a pound. He hasn't been weighed since. He did drop out of his curve.

I understand it can be normal to lose some weight due to being active...

Re: poop- how long is too long?

I guess I'm concerned with both things, but less so on the poop front since he pooped today, and your replies were reassuring.

One of the peds at his practice wants us to supplement with formula...

Re: poop- how long is too long?

Oh I should add that my supply takes a huge hit just before my period and his wet count goes down to about two to three okay diapers. And that it's about four on a regular day. He has lost a few Oz...

poop- how long is too long?

My 10.5 month old is not big on solids. That being said, we are working on it so he has about an Oz of solids every other day or so. So I guess you could say he's 99.9 percent breastfed.

    His doc...

Re: 9 months, will not eat solids

I'm going to see if the library has that book.

I think my supply just took a huge hit due to my period. That wouldn't account for the larger drop, but maybe it's a combination of becoming mobile...

Re: 9 months, will not eat solids

I have an LC. She's an IBCLC who works at our ped's office. She was concerned when I emailed her and that's why we went in. I emailed her afterwards and she said she hopes the supplementing and...

Re: 9 months, will not eat solids

He has not been pooping regularly, so no. Last week he didn't go for six days. I finally got him to eat some apples and prunes and he had his first solids poop which seemed to hurt him a lot. After...

As for how often he nurses, he is a snacker. I honestly couldn't count. Sometimes twice an hour, sometimes every hour or so.

He only has had three wet (barely wet) diapers a day recently...
