    Re: I hurt all over.

Just back from the doc. Waiting on some blood test results. Checking thyroid, arthritis indicators, and general blood levels on a bunch of stuff. If we find the cause, I'll let you know.

Re: Suggestions to get 6 month old to ga

At my older son's 6-month appt, he was 12 lbs ish. He was always 1st to 5th percentile in everything. Some kids just aren't huge eaters. Your son sounds happy and on-track. As long as he's...

    Re: I hurt all over.

This has been going on for a while now, I've been ignoring it but I really hurt just laying in bed even.

I thought I read somewhere that relaxin continues to be produced while breastfeeding. I...

    I hurt all over.

    I EBF my almost-7-month old.

After any period of inactivity, my joints feel like I have pulled muscles. Fingers, elbows, shoulders - and omg, my feet! When I stand up, it feels like my arches...
  5. Re: Number of Letdowns Increase With Time?

    I think they do increase.

I started out with just one in 15 mins of pumping. Now I'm at 3 or 4 in the same time. I had to go up a size shield. Here's a great article with pictures of how a...

    Re: Infant scale recommendations

I am renting the Medela one. If you go to Medela's website, there's a link near the top for 'where to buy/rent'.

    Re: Partial cleft palate

We had his 2-month appt this afternoon. He is 8lbs 4oz (averaging 1oz gain per day since his 1-month weight-check). I got to see the cleft - it isn't the traditional hole, it's a 1.5cm slit at the...

    Re: Partial cleft palate

Thank you so much for all the info - sounds like you've had tough but successful job with your LO. While a CP is not something I'd wish for, it is good to have an explanation for the hearing...

    Partial cleft palate

We found out today that LO (8 weeks old) has a partial cleft palate. NONE of his doctors noticed it - even the ENT that we were seeing for possible hearing loss. Today we saw a new ENT and he...

Re: He's not emptying me and still hungry

They may not notice this thread, perhaps I'll start a new one?

I think we're fortunate - it's not a full cleft palate, just a small split at the back of his throat and his uvula. Luckily, he CAN...

Re: He's not emptying me and still hungry

Update - LO failed his newborn hearing screen, today we had his 3rd appt to check on his ears. This ENT threw us a curveball. LO has a small partial cleft palate!

I think this solves my mystery....
  12. Re: 6 weeks & not at birth weight (help!)

Do you have access to some baby scales so that you can weigh before and after a feeding? My son was barely gaining and I found out he was only eating about an ounce in 40 mins of nursing. Enough to...

Re: He's not emptying me and still hungry

Awesome information. Very surprised at the success of using a chiropractor! I am going to talk to a 2nd lc soon, get her input. The 1st one suggested the cranio-facial expert, but really wasn't...

He's not emptying me and still hungry

    Hi all,

My 7 week old (born at 37 wks) was on the low end of weight gain, so I rented some scales and have been monitoring his intake.

I've noticed a few odd things. He only wants to eat 6 or...
