    Re: Question about supply

I would nap with her, but her naps are usually 30-40 mins. By the time I get to sleep, shes waking up. LOL.

    Re: Question about supply

It's actually so I can get a few weekends off. And I had tried hand expressing, with even less luck :( . It's just frustrating. I haven't had more than 2 hours to myself in 6 months, and it's really...

    Re: Question about supply

No, I haven't tried Fenugreek or any other holistics, nor have a tried another pump for one reason: Money and the lack thereof. My fiance just started working again after a 2 month drought, so it's...

    Question about supply

I recently started pumping, the week of Christmas to be exact. I only pump about 3 times a day (if I'm lucky) because DD hates the thing (She'll kick it off of me if she can lol). I'm using the...

    Re: different views from pediatrician

I got lucky. The ped dd saw at her 6m checkup last week *it's a group practice* is very understanding and knowledgeable about all of these topics.

He knows that dd is getting the iron she needs...

Re: Starting new foods - a question

I think they were concerned that the combination of proteins and nutrients could cause a reaction. I've known people who could eat oranges and drink orange juice, but by god, if they ever had it with...

    Re: When to feed meat?

DD just had her 6 month appt last week and the nurse said the same exact thing. I then talked to the doctor (I go to a group practice, and I really like the new doc, he is a breastfeeding advocate)...

    Re: Frozen mommy pops?

I don't know if cornstarch would be an issue, but the sugar certainly would. You don't want to give your baby sugar until they are at least a year old, as it can cause glucose problems.
  9. Re: 2 months baby sleeping always on her side

My daughter side-sleeps too. Has since the day she was born. Fortunately, she was a strong LO and I never had to keep pillows around her. I'd lay her on her back, and she'd immediately go to her side...

    Re: Explosive Bowel Movements

Trinity has had that problem the past week or so, but hers was diarrhea :(. Fortunately, we're finally starting to get back to the yellow color that mommy likes. But ya, it was hilarious. She's only...

    Re: Cold help

Actually, I had to talk to my daughters ped about this just a few weeks ago, because of a head cold. He told me that sudafed is ok to take. I had no issues with dd while taking it. I would just watch...
  12. Re: 12lb 14.5oz five month old, underweight??

you aren't starving your baby. DD is almost 5 months, weighs 15 lbs and is 24 inches and she is a CHUNK! So, if my daughter is a chunk, your's can't be THAT far behind at a little over 2 lbs less.

  13. Re: Can a baby "make up" for lost feedings?

DD does the same thing. She eats quite often during the day, and not so much at night. So, when we sleep, I always end up engorged on one side. She makes haste to empty that breast as soon as she...
  14. Re: Night feedings and how to deal with lack of sleep?

Actually, you'd be surprised how alert you are when you lo is in the bed with you. I've been co-sleeping since dd was born 4 months ago. Before then, I couldn't get woken up by a vacuum running right...

    Re: Freezing leftovers

It should be fine. As long as you aren't thawing the milk from the freezer, then trying to refreeze it.

    Re: Ouch!

I had a plugged duct that swelled till it was HUGE! I just had dd nurse more often on that side, than the other, until it was gone. She ended up getting it to go away on its own.

Re: 5.5 month old and solids

From what I've come to understand, no. I would limit his solids as much as possible. Solid foods, until a year old, are just for experimenting. They hold no true nutritional value until then,...

Re: Help: Freaking out...blood in stool!

Also, if lo isn't allergic to dairy, it might be overactive letdown or too much foremilk. DD had this issue, well, I had this issue lol. Once I started to letdown into a cloth diaper, so she wouldn't...

I agree with Angie about the co-sleeping thing. DD had previously been co-sleeping with us, because I got pdph from my epid., so I couldn't spend any time sitting up. I just recently got her to be...

    Re: "Rogue" letdown!

I have those as well. ALL the time! I always have a cloth diaper within arm's reach of me, unless I have a bra on w/ breast pads in it. But most of the time, i'm bra-less.... So i cram the cloth...
  23. Re: Frequent small feedings. Normal? How affect supply?

I also have that same issue. DD is 3 1/2 m/o and has always eaten like this. The only issue I have is that at night, she sleeps 3-5 hours at a time, and i always wake up engorged. But, she's a chunky...
