    Re: Help! Canines causing pain.

My LO has some canines, and htey only hurt when he's sucking aggressively...so I just tell him to be gentle. Sometimes it helps.

Sorry I am not more help.

    Re: Hello, again

Thanks. Nursing a toddler is more fun than a baby. My LO loves to caress my tummy. Which is sweet. I don't much care for the days when he thinks a finger up my nose might enhance his snack though.

Just wanted to reintroduce myself. I haven't posted in MONTHS...but we have passed the one year mark, still going super strong.

I am needing support from others doing what I am doing.

Re: Issue with wanting to breastfeed

I had never wanted to breastfeed, the idea of it just made me squirmy...I didn't think I'd like the way it felt, thought I'd be irritated, like - just get off my nipple...but, decided to try it b/c...

    Re: side-laying bf?

It took me awhile to master this position, and then I could only do it on one side for months. I have it down pat now, and my LO started acrobatics and wants to nurse while on his stomach. he gets...

    Re: gagging

Thanks everyone. He did eat some crumbs from a biter cookie today. Cracked me up, he pushed the big pieces out with his tongue, but the little crumbs that were stuck inside his mouth went down fine....

    Re: gagging

Forgot to answer about feeding himself. Not interested. Plays with food, but doesn't try to eat it.

Tries to eat everything else though! He seems to accept being fed, but wants to brush his own...

He seems very interested in whatever I am eating, but that goes for whatever I am doing...

    gagging

My DS has been experimenting with solids in pureed form for about 4 months. He is now just shy of 10 months old.

He has been a "good eater"...but anything remotely chunky or pasty causes him to...

Re: newborn with blister on lip?

My LO got these on an off for the first few months. I read they were normal and never worried again.

It never amazes me the things I never knew!

Re: Tips for the HIGHLY distractible baby

My LO is like this also, he's now 8.5 months. It is MUCH worse at home. Seems that when we are out and about he gets down to business (probably because he is was so distracted he didn't realize he...
  16. Re: Need more comfy nursing position for large 9 mth old.

Well, my son is 22 pounds, and we nurse with his head resting on my arm, and I lean back. My arm is resting on a small but firm pillow, and I keep a small pillow behind my back. I am pretty small...

    Re: Hair loss??

totally normal. Many infants lose the hair they came out with. I noticed little hairs on the sheet and the changing table. At first I thought it was the cat!

  18. Re: Help needed at night with almost 5 month old

All I can say is that each baby is different. My 7 month old still wakes during the night to nurse about every 3 hours. We co-sleep, so it's not really an issue. And I am certain he'll be this way...

    Re: Cross-cradle (nursing positions)

    Re: Won't eat! Help!

I agree with PP - same thing. Maybe try getting a frozen washcloth for your LO to bite on just before nursing. My LO is 7 months, teething fierce and I think the warmth of the breast makes nursing...

Re: hungry every 2-3 hrs still

Very normal. Babies eat on their own schedule. My 7 month old still nurses every 2 hours during the day, and I know lots of other mom's on this forum have older babies that nurse as frequently.
