  1. Re: When you don't feel like nursing..

I was going to post something like this yesterday. My DD is almost 17 months and I was happy nursing her 3-4 times a day, but lately she's been asking/ demanding to nurse way more often and isn't...
  2. 11 months and need suggestions

DD is 11 months old and is nursing 6-8 times a day. I work 2-3 evenings a week and she usually gets 2 bottles when I'm gone. I'm almost out of frozen milk and I'm not able to pump much at all...

    Re: nap nursing again

I wish I could nap with her. I have an almost 3 year old who does not nap. I also work part time and she doesn't really nap for anyone else because she wants to nurse to sleep. She does take a...

    nap nursing again

I've been trapped under my 4.5 month old for 90 minutes because the second I take my nipple out of her mouth she wakes up. :eye I'm really hoping this passes soon.

    Re: Lansinoh leak!!!!

I was just coming to look this up. I'm so frustrated because twice this week, I defrosted milk for the sitter only to find a puddle in my refrigerator. I only have this problem with frozen milk. I...
  6. Re: not enough time to pump at work! losing my milk!

:hug I have a hard time pumping at work too. I'm lucky if I can pump once in an 8.5 hour shift.

I pump right before bed. I didn't get much at first, but now I get an extra 10 oz per week. DD...
  7. Re: Frozen milk left on counter. What should I do?

:eye I have no milk to leave my MIL tomorrow when I go to the dentist. I guess I'll be up all night pumping.

Thanks for the response even if it isn't what I wanted to hear.
  8. Frozen milk left on counter. What should I do?

DH left a few bags (my entire freezer stash) on the kitchen counter for about an hour. It was slush when I found it. Is it ok to put it back in the freezer or do I need to use it in the next 24...
  9. Re: Been nursing for over 2 hours now...

I can relate. At least once a day DD nurses for over 2 hours. A couple of days ago I spent almost 5 hours nursing. She'd nurse on both sides, fall asleep for 5 minutes, wake up and start the cycle...

    Pulling feeling while nursing

I don't remember having this with DS, so I'm wondering if it's normal. DD is 2 weeks old and when I nurse her I often feel a pulling sensation on my side and last time I nursed her I felt it in my...

    Re: Weight loss

I took Reglan after my first child was born. Reglan crosses the blood brain barrier and can cause depression. I don't have a history of depression, but I did not like the way it made me feel. I...

    Re: When to start pumping?

This would be pumping in addition to nursing. In a baby with tongue tie, the suck is not effective, so not pumping at all isn't an option. Believe me, I would not have pumped if I didn't have to...

    When to start pumping?

I'm expecting baby #2 very soon. I'm wondering if I should start pumping while still in the hospital or just wait until I get home.

When I had DS my milk never really "came in". I had to pump...
  15. Re: Tongue-tie snipped yesterday and domperidone

My DS had his tongue tie clipped when he was 10 weeks old and I needed to take Domperidone the entire time I nursed him. I weaned off of Domperidone slowly and when I was done my supply dropped and...

    Re: Domperidone and Weight Gain?

I took Domperidone for about 9 months. I didn't have any weight gain, but I didn't really start loosing weight until after I stopped taking it.
  17. Re: Domperidone Side Effects...Irritability and Weepiness?

I was taking domperidone for a long time and didn't have any of the side effects you are experiencing. From my understanding.... domperidone doesn't have the same risk of causing depressive...
  18. Re: Formula & Breastfeeding Combination

:ita That's what we did when I supplemented with formula.

    Re: Reglan?

I took Reglan early on with DS. It did help my supply, but I didn't care for the way I felt while taking it. I actually didn't notice how sluggish it made me until I stopped taking it.
  20. Re: Anyone else nurse their LO in this position?

Yup, DS nursed in that position too. A LC showed it to me when he was about 11 weeks old. She said it is a commonly used position in Australia.
  21. Re: Why can't I make enough milk???

I'm glad things are looking better. I'm sure Dr. Coryllos told you, but sometimes it takes a while for them to relearn how to properly latch on. Hang in there!

    Re: Tongue-tied help

DS had tongue tie too. I had significant supply issues in addition to pain with nursing.

I'm not sure why your LO is only having trouble on one side. Have you worked with a leader or...
  23. Re: Why can't I make enough milk???

My supply did improve and we stopped supplementing, although DS still didn't gain much weight. Once I went back to work, I had to pump a lot and my body just didn't respond to pumping as much as I...
  24. Re: Why can't I make enough milk???

My DS had tongue tie too. It significantly affected my supply. Our story sounds much like yours. We had it clipped when he was 10 weeks old.
  25. Re: Shooting pain in the nipple - Help!

Does your nipple turn white? Nipple vasospasms can cause pain after a feeding too.
