Re: Benefits for the formula fed at 6 mths?

Re: Benefits for the formula fed at 6 mths?

Thanks for highlighting that, cos I had always thought till now that BM got no iron in it and that's why we are recommended to start the solids at 6 mths.

As for the formula fed baby's case I...

Re: Benefits for the formula fed at 6 mths?

I think fromula has iron in it, but it's not so readily absorbed b/c it's not BM.

Re: Benefits for the formula fed at 6 mths?

Not true I am afraid and I was sure that I've read somewhere that FF babies also benefit from starting solids at 6 mths; reduces allergies and lowers the risk of FF babies being too over weight,...

Re: No poo in over 2 weeks! infant laxatives

I heard that b/c the BM is so perfect for some babies that some babies absorb nearly all of it and so therefore there's very little waste. I would give it another few days. If your baby seems...

    Re: Messy Eater?

Sounds like he's just mucking about, if he's not drinking your milk then he can't be that hungry. Or maybe he just wants to get to the hind milk quicker!

    Re: I feel he doesn’t love me…

I know that feeling too, I EBF my oldest DD as a baby, she was always very very close to her father (my DH) and would always prefer to sleep on him rather than me when she wasn't feeding and she...
  14. Re: Can U help me with this? Why BF till 8?

I wouldn't BF till eight either, but I have absolutely no problem with it at all! I actually would if it was more acceptable and considered normal. That's why I need someone to stick up for these...

    Re: Water??

You can start giving water when your baby had started the solids. Giving it before then only interferes with weight gain b/c foremilk is literally water anyway and babies drinking additional water...

Re: Why do women stop BF?

    Re: When to start solids??

Be careful how you go about it, b/c I've heard lately on that the baby solids have a lower calorie content than the BM and a 3 month old baby's stomach is unlikely to digest it either. Your DD's...
