    Re: Nursing Strike

My LO went on a nursing strike when he was sick as well. I had to pump when he wouldn't nurse. For a week he would only take an ounce or less from a bottle during a feeding and/or I'd have to feed...
  3. Re: Switching from a bottle to a sippy cup

I'm also wondering about switching to a sippy cup. The pediatrician recommended introducing a sippy cup by 12 months, but I don't want it to interfere with bfing.
  4. Re: 2 month old finally latching, but what next?

I transitioned from bottles to breast when my LO was 7 weeks. Skin to skin was essential to making the switch. I also used an SNS. This seemed to help give him some reward for his efforts. Now he...

Re: Lipase issue and weight loss/fish oil

I think I had high lipase from day 1, but didn't realize it. I don't know about your weight loss question. My LO is 8 mos and I lost 1/2 of my pregnancy weight by 5 or 6 mos.

    I did take a...
  7. Re: Baby won't take bottle! Limits my ability to work

My LO is a reverse cycler. He's 7.5 months and still only takes 8-10 oz total in a 11-12 hr period I'm at work. I make sure to get in plenty of nursing session at night when I'm home. He snacks...

He typically dream feeds, but he won't now. He is refusing the bottle some also. I've had to syringe feed him a few times just to make sure he's getting some fluids.

Sticky: Re: Scalding breastmilk due to excessive Lipase

Yes!! You can donate milk with high lipase. Do a search for local milk banks before you throw out you unscalded freezer stash. It goes to premature babies who need your breastmilk very much!!
