Re: Reasons why one need to relactact?

Why on earth should your DH decide when YOU should wean baby off the breast!? Are you to obey to him? No!

    Men sometimes leave me perplexed....
If you prefer to give breastmilk to your DD, so...

    Using the NS

    Hi there!

On other fora I am on, the question regularily arises about relactating.

Often the situation is that a mother started feeding too much solids and baby comes to depend on them over the...

Re: It kinda breaks my heart - help!

No, that is not true. Only in very specific siuations you will be advised to wean your older child. And if you have to do that, you will probably have to abstain from sexual intercourse as well....

It kinda breaks my heart - help!

    Hello!

I am 18 weeks PG now and my milk supply is very, very, very low. I can barely squeeze out 2 drops of stringy, yellowy milk.

My son (2y3m) is still taking the breast 1 - 3 times a day....

    Hello!

Re: No period after 2 years!

I started menstruating 21 months PP.

I also read Kippley's book. The first part is very good, but then... I thought it was very disapointing: that a child should be taught to be quiet in church,...

    Finding a balance

    Hi Ladies!
There is something, where I don't know what to think of it...
A friend of mine has a child who's the same age as my DS, 2 years old.
Both me & my friend BF our children.
    Now it has...

    Cranberries are so nice!

    Hello!

It is so hot here right now!! I don't really like plain water, but I've discovered cranberry juice. Hmmmm, it's lovely! I dilute it 50 - 50 with water and don't have to worry about not...

    Re: Here we are again...

    Hi everybody!

Sooo......... according to the dermatologist it is eczema. There is a special eczema that appears on the nipples/areola and to her it's that.

Nothing much we can do about it,...

    Re: Here we are again...

    Hi Jill!
No no, your message is not condescending, on the contrary!
I jumped into action and called one of the most experienced IBCLC in the BeNeLux. She said that for her it was a skin condition...

    Here we are again...

I already posted earlier about my concern about Paget's disease of the nipple.

I went to the IBCLC and she took a skin sample and gave me an anti-bacterial cream. The skin sample came back...

    Re: I'm scared now!

    Hi all!

I just came back from the IBCLC.
She was really amazed that I could feed the way I did, seeing that the crack goes all the way around the base of my nipple.

She took a sample of some...

First of all, it is very soothing to be able to 'talk' about my worries to other ladies ....

Well, as a matter of fact, I do. On my lips. They crack, bleed... they never seem to...

    Re: I'm scared now!

    Thanks Reesa!

What I have looks like some Paget's or contact dermatitis.

The thing is that when wearing a bra, my nipple is pushed in, and gets 'moist'. That's where it's so tender and the...

    I'm scared now!

    Hi Ladies!
Pfffff, this is really worrying me.
I've had some very tender nippels lately. Went to see an IBCLC, too. She was pretty sure it was NOT thrush. My nippels are very, very dry and flaky,...

    Re: my mother-in-law...

Because they are jealous? Many of our parent's generation did not BF let alone AP. They think it's wrong. A BB (Breastfed Baby) cannot be dropped for a week at the grandparents for them to play with...

    Re: How long

    Hi!

Sear's article is very good, but it doesn't answer my question as to how long breastmilk kan be a toddler's only drink.

So if anyone has a clue on that one...? The LLL leaders, IBCLCs among...
  24. Re: Do you find it creepy when they talk about it?

I totally agree with that! I'd change "Americans" into "westeners", as I am pretty sure that the western world in general sees the female breasts as sexual.

My DS is 21 months old and nurses...

Re: What do child psychologists say?

LOL! They are long dead, indeed! And you also should not forget the 'Zeitgeist' of the time they lived in. It was a very prude, hippocrite, stiff society. Times have changed... and their theories are...
