    Re: Period returning?

Babies are designed to suckle and so it is rare/unlikely that they are going to expend more energy than they are gaining from the milk. In my experience when a paediatrician said this to me what was...
  2. Re: So let this be a warning to you pumpers....

Just because milk is ok in the fridge for a few days doesn't mean it's not lipase. It's worth rotating freezer stashes and taste testing occasionally! :)

    Re: Breastfeeding all night! Help!

I just wanted to say you haven't created a sleep association... Babies are born to suckle to sleep. Nature made the that way. It has a fancy term.

Personally I find it easier to soothe to sleep...

    Re: nursing on one side

A tongue tie is a pretty common reason for latch issues and nipple damage. I would seek a third opinion on whether it needs revising or re discuss it with the IBCLC in relation to the fact you are...

    Re: nursing on one side

Your baby sounds like a typical newborn! They sleep and when they wakes up they act as tho they are STARVING. It's typical for latch to be different on different sides no two nipples are exactly the...

    Re: baby refuses bottle

If your day is only 5 hours and he feeds right before you leave and can feed when you are back he may just be holding out for you! As long as he can catch up when you are back it shouldn't be an...

Re: Questions from a pumping newbie...

It sounds like pumping frequency is great and the amount you are getting is normal. A 4 oz bottle is pretty big and paced feeding techniques may mean the baby takes less milk. I know you said weight...

    Re: Tandem nursing and oversupply

Your body will adjust and for now I'd personally hold off on pumping.

If baby is struggling with flow then the best thing you can do is nurse as frequently as possible - nursing often is supposed...

Re: SO WORRIED about baby's weight

I just wanted to agree about the domperidone. I used domperidone and it certainly helped us, but... There are potential side effects as with any medication and it honestly doesn't sound like you have...

    Re: When Pumping/Daycare doesn't work

Just a thought but if you are thinking of paying for nanny/child care it's worth comparing the price of a casual based farmhand to see if they work out cheaper... They do the farm work and you do...

Re: SO WORRIED about baby's weight

That works out as a gain of 6 oz a week, slightly more as the first 5 days don't usually count!

6 oz a week isn't normally considered poor gain. Maddieb has answered really in depth, my own...
