  2. Re: How much solids for a 9 month old??

Ahhh I see your LO is a crawler, maybe thats why she has dropped off the charts because she became a whole lot more active?

I don't think that is too much at all. I know my son ate alot of solids....

  4. Re: Nursing my 14 month od - sleep help?!

My son will be 14 months on the 2nd. He wakes up numerous times a night even though we are co-sleeping. But I figure it's that he's teething and just wants more time with me. It's very tiring I know,...

    Re: How often?

    Let's see:

Hunter nurses when we wake up, usually for 10 mins all together.
Breakfast an hour after we nurse
He gets a snack an hour or so after that
He nurses when it's nap time.
    Lunch

    Re: Too much attention?

My LO was on me all the time when he was younger. I didn't take it that I was spoiling him at all. I thought it more as I was taking care of him by giving him comfort, warmth, and safety. I view it...

    Re: Breastfeeding before naps

Yup that sounds perfectly normal to me. I remember back then all my son would do was sleep and nurse, and play for little bouts of time. Sounds like you are doing just a wonderful job, and I say too...

    Re: 4 month old?

We started at 5 and a half months old since he was ready for them. Though don't force it if the baby doesn't want to eat. And it's recommended to start at 6 months.

    Re: Breastmilk quality change?

I agree with the other ladies as well. I would like to chime in that breastfed babies can go longer than a week with passing stool. My son went 9 days once when he was around 4-5 months? And it was...

    Re: Yikes

I just got my first bite the other day when we were up at 5 am... I screamed cause it felt like all 9 of his teeth chomped away. He cried, and dad took him away while I held my boob.

    But anyways...

    Re: At what age...

I think maybe.. 8-9 months. My boy took too solids. I just made sure he was ready for them and had a bit of teeth in there first. Though I'm sure the teeth aren't needed since the food will be soft...

    Re: daytime feeding probs

Have you tried side laying nursing during the day?? That might help out abit. Though if he nurses better he may not sleep better at night. My LO is still waking up lots during the night, though that...

Re: how much water for 8 mo old?

My MIL was always trying to tell me that DS was thirsty, or asked him where his sippy cup was. I just ignored it mainly and didn't give him a sippy other than at meal times, because well...

    Re: how does it work?

Breastfeed before giving solids for the first year. Then you breastfeed after.

Basically for the first year solids are just for experiencing and learning new things. They don't need it nutrition...

    Re: how does it work?

I'm still breastfeeding at night on demand even though my son has been eating solids for over 6 months now I think. It helps him go back to sleep at night, and he's such a skinny little guy that I...

    Re: Help, please?

My DS, 13 and a half months old, is still currently waking 3-4 times a night because of teeth. Maybe you are just going through a growth spurt now? Maybe it's teething... maybe he's just learned...

    Re: Already Cutting Molars?

My son is 13 and a half months and he's working on his 3rd molar. So it's not odd that a molar is already coming in.
