    Re: overactive letdown and frequency

    I have the same experience.
Poor DS sometimes gets a faceful of milk-fountain - I just make sure I have a small towel-flannel handy to wipe him down! He finds it amusing!

    Re: Avent Isis IQ

I only ever get 4-5 oz per session as well manual or electric.

However, I do find the suction tooo strong sometimes, so it might be that the pump isnt working correctly.

Re: Can milk supply dry up?

    Re: Hurting and uncomfortable

after an hour he is just sucking for comfort, so perhaps you want to consider a pacifier/dummy? this saved my nipples from further trauma, and DS abandoned the pacifier once he found his fists (aged...

    Re: Hurting and uncomfortable

it can be disheartening can't it?:(

    Re: squirming at the breast

sam - it could be that he enjoys the let down and when that calms down he has to work a bit harder at getting the hind milk out - try leaning forward a bit when you nurse to help gravity and make...

    Re: What I've Learned....

A couple of things I have learnt:
    * breast shells (not shields) whilst not nursing helped extract my flat/inverted nipples and get them use to that shape, significantly reducing...
