    28 months, and going strong...

Maybe too strong, at times :lol I can't believe that when I was pregnant I initially didn't want to try nursing (after giving up way too soon with the older kids). With some pushing from DH, I did....
  2. Re: What do you say to mother who doesn't support BF?

    :ita:ita:ita with everything already said.

In my case, I have never gone to my mom or others in my life that don't fully support BFing (especially now that my LO is 22 months old, and even those...

I was given "Colace" after DD2 was born as a stool softener from the hospital. Call your doctor and see what they say :gvibes

    Re: Bras bras bras

I got tired of bras, so now if I'm home - I'm braless! Quicker access (especially as my LO is learning that my shirt is all that's between her and her milk when at home), and more comfortable. I do...

    Re: Thumbsucker!

I think one of the best tidbits of advice I've seen here is "When in doubt, whip it out!" :lol funny but so very true! LOs won't nurse if they don't want to/aren't ready yet, but then if you at...

    Re: scheduled feedings

One thing worth considering is co-sleeping. That way you both can sleep through most if not all of the nighttime feeds. It doesn't work for everyone, but if you can do it, it's wonderful!

    Many...

    Re: allergy or reflex

Formula isn't needed, and there's nothing wrong with your milk. With the arching and all that, I still think it sounds like reflux.

It's likely the formula stayed down because how heavy it is,...

    Re: allergy or reflex

It sounds like reflux. But eliminating dairy from your diet can actually help as well. Best thing to do is talk to the baby's doctor.

    Re: Fussy at second breast

My first thought is he's wanting to comfort suck, not eat, but the second breast is giving him more milk then he wants. Have you tried re-offering the first breast?

Re: Very close to giving in!!

:welcome and congrats on your LO!
You may want to ditch the bottles completely. That could be the very reason she's not latching on and getting mad. Nipple confusion is very real and a big problem...

    Re: Do you nurse everytime?

I nurse my LO to sleep every night, and all through the night, and for naps. But it doesn't bother me, and it works for us so I keep doing it.
  18. Re: First tooth need tips from BTDT moms ^_~

As far as your book talking about self weaning - that's highly unlikely. However her biting and then your reaction (example - loud yelp/scream) could cause a strike. I've been bitten by my LO a...

Re: supposed to sleep thru the night?

Since you're a working mom, the getting up in the night to nurse could quite possibly be your LO wanting to reconnect with you that way.

When I was working my LO woke up frequently in the night...

  22. Re: Wheat Products always causing constipation

I would talk to her doctor. Could be a possible allergy or Celiac's Disease can cause constipation as well. Or it could be something completely different.

    Re: sippy cup suggestions

We're using the nuby without any latch problems. She does bite on the cup's spout but it seems her biting me has lessened since we started using it.
