    She can ask for cocoa...

But she still doesn't have a word for "nurse!" Why is it that my almost 19-month old hasn't made this particular voacbularly word important? Anyone have a similar experience?

Poll: Re: Poll: After a year

I didn't pump for the year I was home with LO. I started building up a stash for when I went back to p/t work. It's still in the freezer b/c DD refuses to take the milk if it's not from me :eyebrow...

Re: Birthday cake with breast milk?

    Interesting question...

We bought a beautiful round bread and stuck a candle in it for LO's 1st birtday since we were on a hike she wasn't up to eggs or dairy yet.

Re: He WILL wean some day, right?

My mother always said that by the time they are 18 they are weaned and toilet trained :p

My friend added a caveat: And if they're not, it's their problem :lol

    I stopped nursing when I was 4,...

    Re: Only one breast?

I heard that in parts of China there is a tradition to nurse only on one side. And the amazing thing is that breast cancer rates were lower in the side that lactated.

    Oh, sorry, not trying to...

Re: What do you call them? (for LO?)

    Great answers :lol

It will be interesting to see what LO picks. I usually say nurse and often call my breast either a breast or a boob. I know that I called my mother's breasts "nurses."

    I...

I overcook regular oatmeal and give LO little clumps. She likes it. Even better -- mix it with some thick veggie soup and then you have veggie/oatmeal clumps. I admit it doesn't sound that good,...
