    Green stools! help!

    Hi,

My 4 month, 1 week and 3 day old son has been having green stools for a few days (with seeds.) I have not changed my diet, he had a checkup over a week ago and was fine/weight normal etc.

    Won't take a bottle

    Hi,

my four month, 1 week old son will not take a bottle of EBM. He rarely gets bottles (I'm a SAHM and I find it easier just to nurse him...) but in the past, he would usually eat from a bottle...
  5. Re: Not sleeping through the night anymore - OK to give rice cereal?

thanks, guys...I've reverted back to taking one long nap with baby during the day and worrying less about chores etc. It does not help that I went to a wedding, caught a bad cold, then bronchitis.
  6. Re: Not sleeping through the night anymore - OK to give rice cereal?

nope, I don't. The PA suggested the rice cereal "maybe the milk calories aren't enough for him to not need to nurse at night anymore" or something.
  7. Not sleeping through the night anymore - OK to give rice cereal?

My 4 month, 1 week old son slept through the night from about 2.5 months to around 3.5 months. Approximately 8 hours without waking to nurse.

Not anymore. I'm not sure how much more I can take...I...

    Re: Cluster-feeding at night?

Ayep. I joke my son is the "Shower Screamer" as he can be asleep/calm in his swing and/or crib and it seems like the minute I turn the shower on, he starts to yell. :shrug:lol

    My DH calls Roger...

    Re: Cluster-feeding at night?

How do you take care of your personal needs in that situation? Like going potty/taking a shower/brushing your teeth let alone eating and drinking?

    Re: Period returning

I felt kinda crampy yesterday IIRC and I was Lochia'ing more than I was the few days before. I can tell from the colour that it's lochia and not a usual period, I think. 'Sides, when I get a period...

    Re: Period returning

You sure it's not just Lochia? I still have Lochia at 6 weeks 1 day (I'm angry about that) and it seemed to go away a couple of times only to come back.

    Re: Cluster-feeding at night?

I latched him on at 5am, I fell asleep (side-lying) I woke up at 6:30 and either he was still attached or he relatched himself. He was mostly asleep, sucking away.

    Cluster-feeding at night?

My little dude is 6 weeks, 1 day old. Yesterday he was a bit fussy and wanting to eat a lot. I chalked it up to cluster-feeding and hoped it wouldn't go all night. Doh. He was eating at least every 2...
  15. Re: Something on my mind - TTC and breastfeeding

So I had my 6 week PP appt with the CNM (Certified Nurse Midwife) yesterday. We discussed birth control and a lot of other things. She said due to the fact I had a C-section, it's best to wait until...

    Re: The best birth control?

DH and I are going the condom route...dunno if that's the "best" though. I do have experience with using condoms for BC, ie: how to use them properly...
  17. 5 week old - pooping less and sleeping more

My LO slept (!) 6 hrs without waking up/eating last night. Cue me freaking out, I'm used to him sleeping 4 hours, then waking up to eat, then eating off-and-on after that. I actually stuck a boob in...
  18. Re: just curious: milk coming out of baby's nose

My 5 week old does this sometimes when he spits up (yep, he's spat up while on the boob haha) I panicked and took him in to be checked, the Physician's Assistant (she sees my son) said his...

    Re: painful lump

    A. ditch the underwire bras if you use them.

    B. Be careful about compressing the boob (ie with a BF pillow like a Boppy.)

    C. Try to aim baby's nose with the plug, using different positions.

  20. Re: Something on my mind - TTC and breastfeeding

I agree. I'm healthy - no medical issues besides asthma. I was shocked I got knocked up with my baby - totally shocked. :yikes I had just turned 36 and experienced unexplored infertility with my...
  21. Re: Can I store BM in the fridge in 'feeding' bottles?

Thanks! I have some of those groovy Medela storage containers I got from the hospital (the ones with the yellow lids.) but in case I max those out, I wondered if I could use regular bottles, too!

    is it "bad" to pump?

So now I'm worried I'm going to cause problems pumping a bit after LO eats to get a wee stash in the fridge - I have been battling a plugged duct in my "wonky" boob so after my LO eats, I pump (as...
  23. Re: Can I store BM in the fridge in 'feeding' bottles?

    i think they're bpa-free. Dr. brown's, evenflo and medela.
  24. Can I store BM in the fridge in 'feeding' bottles?

Just wondering - can I store my BM in the fridge with feeding bottles...the lids with the artificial nipples?
  25. Re: Something on my mind - TTC and breastfeeding

Part of what influenced my thought process is having a newborn awake 200 times per night. At those times, I questioned my sanity having one! lol
