    Pumping and nipple pain

I have been pumping at least 1x a day since 10 days pp. Since i've been back to work (3 weeks), I've been pumping 2x/day. After the first week- I realized my pump was a little too strong as I had...

I agree with PP- this site has saved me (though I've had one really bad day, missing LO- i had to avoid it or i would have cried or leaked all over my desk)

She is 10 weeks today, and i've been...
  3. Re: When can I stop pumping at work?

I had this same question, though my LO is only 2.5 mos. I currently get 10-15 oz. while at work, but she is only taking 6-8 oz from a bottle so I am gaining the surplus in the freezer.
    How soon...

    Re: Nipple problem

I, too, had a weak side. Before I went back to work, I offered it first and pumped longer on that side.
Now- at 10 weeks, they seem to be equal so I think it worked.

    Re: Cleaning pump tubing

They can be boiled- i have noticed it dries with water spots, but i assume it's still sterile. Also my steaming bag (medela brand) gives instructions to steam/sterilize.

    Bleeding nipples

I have bursted blood vessels on my nipples, and think they're from my pump (medela pump in style) since they healed over the weekend and came back today.
Any idea why this started so suddenly and...

    Re: Pumping Question

    Green Milk

Anyone know what might cause my milk to be tinted green when I pumped yesterday and today? It really freaked me out- but I'm sure it's something in my diet I just don't know what nutrient would...

    Re: Pumping Question

I read that as long as the milk is the same temp. i.e. don't add fresh pumped warm milk to milk in the fridge.
I made the mistake of combining too much, and now my mom sometimes has to thaw 6 oz,...

    Re: So many questions!!!

I agree with everything above- and have to say I, too, at 10 days was overwhelmed, but just like mothersky stated it gets easier.
I waited until 4 weeks to give her a pacifier- before that I let...

    Re: ideal lactation room

I'm a little late catching up on old posts
I'm right inbetween- not a total storage closet, but not a convenient room, either.
i love the ideas and if I could have any of that it is the private...

    Cluster Feeding

My LO has been a cluster feeder in the evenings since birth- but this week (i'm back to work) she is out of control, demanding to nurse every 45 minutes, until I'm dry and sore. Nothing else pleases...

    Re: How much?

I just went back to work this week- and- though she's at home with grandma, so far she has eaten the amount I pumped from one side the day before. (i.e. I double pump at work, get 2-3 oz each side,...

    Re: "Hooter Hider"

I got the measurements from thenursingapron.com- and made my own. It's worked great for in the car, at the park, and when we have company at our house.
