    Re: Hair falling??!

Yep. My LO is 6 months and I am still having to clean out the shower and hairbrush. I remember this with DD#1 so I wasn't worried this time. But the first time around it was a little scary.
  2. Re: My baby seemed to get "big" overnight. lol

I know what you mean. I look at DD#1 (who is 5 years now) and I wonder when she got so big! She starts kindergarten next year, wow.

DD#2 is now 6 months and I felt a little sad to start solids...

    Re: teachers- enjoy your break!

Yep, one of the best parts of being a teacher, :lol .
  5. Re: Can I reuse my pump/parts/bottles for 2nd child?

Yep. I did. I got mine out after 4 years and it works perfectly. I just sterilized everything again before using it, since it had been stored for so long.

    Re: 4 1/2 month old question/advice

I am a teacher as well, so I'm usually gone from 7-4 each day. I started by sending 3- 4 1/2 oz bottles. Now I have to send 4- 5 1/2 oz bottles, but she usually doesn't get the fourth bottle...

Re: Do you use a monitor?

My LO's crib is in our room and we use a monitor if she goes to sleep before we are ready for bed. When she moves into her own room, we'll still use it. My oldest girl just turned 5 and we still...

Re: First Day back as Well Today

I'm glad things are going well. For you and Mallory. Never mind those 1000 committees that need a leader. You know the administration or the state is just going to change everything next year...
  9. Re: Anyone treating their reflux babies with meds?

We used Zantac for a couple of weeks, but my LO hated the taste and spit it out and cried the whole time. Now we're on Axid which is basically the same med. with a better taste. No more tummy pain...

    Re: When did you...

With DD#1 I built a freezer stash before going back to work. Whenever my pumping output was less than what she was taking in at daycare, I broke into my stash. I also added to it every time I could...

    We survived

DD#2 survived her first day at daycare and I survived my first day back to work.

Would you believe she didn't spit-up nearly as much at daycare as she does at home? I told her teachers that I was...

Re: Where do u pump at work?

I am a teacher and with my first baby, I pumped in the principal's bathroom. This year, I have my own office, so all I need to do is put up curtains on the windows and I can pump in there. I am...

I just have to say "Cool!"

I had to go to my job today (I am a teacher) for about an hour to turn in some things and ask a few questions about when I go back. So, I took DD with me. While there, she got hungry (don't they...
  16. Re: She's fine - I'm the one who's confused!

I also had some pretty bad pain when breastfeeding both of my daughters. Thankfully, no thrush though. And like you it wasn't due to poor latch. It was so bad I would flinch when they latched on. ...

    Re: "Sleeping through the night"

DD slept through the night last night. :cheer We put her down around 10:30 pm and she slept to 6:30 am. She is almost 9 weeks old. However she usually wakes up between 3-4 am, so I consider last...

    Re: Freezing Playtex Drop-ins

I also freeze using the Lansinoh bags. I use the drop-ins as well. What I do is thaw the BM in the Lansinoh bag by running it under hot tap water and then just pour the milk into the drop-in liner...

    Re: Fast feeding sessions

Same here. My LO is eight weeks old and since the middle of her 2nd week, she can finish eating on both sides in about a total of 10-15 minutes. I actually wish I could slow her down since she has...

Re: Constant nursing (and I mean constant!)

I agree with Raline, your LO is simply too young to be left to cry. She needs you even when it seems like nothing you are doing is working. I found that my LO likes a semi-darkened area with low...

New to the idea of EBF

Okay, I know my LO is only four weeks old, but after reading all the info on the benefits of ebf, I want to go at least a year and hopefully longer. However, I talked to my DH last night and he...

    Re: Human Pacifier/Slow Nurser

My LO is doing this now. For the past three days, she has wanted to nurse every 30 minutes to an hour. I tried the pacy, but she wouldn't have it. So I just gave up and I nursed her at those...
